Mixed Berry Tart
A delicious and sweet dessert featuring a mix of berries atop a flaky crust. Perfect for spring and summer gatherings.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Mixed Berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)Fresh or frozen, thawed
- β2 1/4 cups All-purpose FlourFor the crust
- β1 cup Cold Unsalted ButterCut into small pieces for the crust
- β1/4 cup Ice WaterFor the crust
- β1 cup Granulated Sugar
- β1 Egg
- β1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine flour and cold butter. Use a pastry blender or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3. Gradually add ice water, stirring with a fork until the dough comes together in a ball.

4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times until smooth.

5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

6. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

7. Transfer the dough to a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.

8. Trim the edges and press the dough into the corners of the pan.

9. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir in the mixed berries.
