Slovakian Roasted Pastry
A traditional Slovakian dessert that combines flaky pastry with roasted fruits and a hint of herbal spices.
Ingredients
- β1 package Pastry doughthawed
- β2 Applesany variety
- β2 tbsp Sugar
- β1 tsp Cinnamonground
- β1/4 tsp Nutmegground
- β1 tbsp Flourfor dusting

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the pastry dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch (3 mm).

In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Arrange the sliced apples on one half of the pastry dough, leaving a 1/2 inch (1 cm) border around the edges.

Sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over the apples.

Fold the other half of the pastry dough over the apples, pressing the edges to seal.

Dust the top of the pastry with flour.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
