Baked Irish Stroopwafel Gratin
A fusion dessert combining the sweetness of Irish stroopwafels with a crunchy baked gratin topping.
Ingredients

- β1 cup Granulated sugar
- β1/2 cup Unsalted buttersoftened
- β1 cup All-purpose flour
- β1 tsp Baking powder
- β1 cup Heavy cream

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder.

Cut the softened butter into the dry ingredients until a crumbly mixture forms.

Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking dish.

Bake the crust for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and 1/2 cup of sugar.

Pour the cream mixture over the baked crust.

Arrange the Irish stroopwafels on top of the cream mixture.

In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar.
