Venezuelan Beef Empanadas
Delicious beef empanadas inspired by Venezuelan cuisine, perfect as a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β250g Ground Beef
- β4-6 pieces Empanada Dough
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β2 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1 tsp Cumin
- β1 tsp Paprika
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1/4 tsp Pepper

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces.

Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.

Let the mixture cool slightly.

Roll out the empanada dough to desired thickness.

Place a tablespoon or two of the beef mixture onto one half of the dough, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edges.

Brush the edges with a little water and fold the dough in half to form a half-circle.

Seal the edges by pressing them with a fork or your fingers.

Place the empanadas on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and the filling is heated through.
