Korean Apricot Deopbap
A traditional Korean rice bowl dish topped with a sweet and spicy apricot sauce. Serve with a side of stir-fried vegetables for a well-rounded meal.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Deopbap rice
- β2 tbsp Apricot jam
- β1 tsp Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
- β2 tbsp Butter
- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantro
- β1 tsp Sesame oil
- β1 tsp Soy sauce (optional)Adjust to taste

1. Cook the Deopbap rice according to the package instructions.

2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

3. Add the Korean chili flakes and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

4. Add the apricot jam and stir until smooth.

5. Add the soy sauce (if using) and stir to combine.

6. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.

7. To assemble the dish, place a scoop of cooked Deopbap rice in a bowl.
