Tunisian Chicken Tagine Stir Fry
A fusion of Chinese and Tunisian flavors, this dish brings the tender taste of old-style stir-fry with the bold spices of a traditional tagine.
Ingredients
- β500g chicken breastboneless, skinless
- β2 tbsp hazelnut oil
- β1 tsp tunisian tagine spice mix
- β2 tbsp old-style soy sauce
- β2 sliced bell peppers
- β1 sliced onions
- β200g sliced mushrooms
- β1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper
Instructions

Heat 1 tbsp of hazelnut oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the chicken and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tbsp of hazelnut oil, tunisian tagine spice mix, and sliced onions to the skillet.

Cook until the onions are translucent, about 3 minutes.

Add the sliced bell peppers and mushrooms to the skillet.

Cook until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 4 minutes.

Return the chicken to the skillet and stir in the old-style soy sauce.
