Pan-Seared Gyoza with Japanese Corn
A twist on traditional pan-fried gyoza, served with a sweet and savory Japanese corn accompaniment. This recipe combines the best of Japanese and old-fashioned flavors.
Ingredients
- ●12-15 wrappers Gyoza wrappers
- ●1/2 pound Ground pork
- ●2 tablespoons Sesame oil
- ●1 tablespoon, grated Ginger
- ●2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- ●1 cup, fresh corn kernels Corn
- ●to taste Old-fashioned salt
- ●to taste Old-fashioned black pepper

1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add ground pork and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, about 5 minutes.

3. Add grated ginger and cook for 1 minute.

4. Add soy sauce and cook for 1 minute.

5. Place gyoza wrappers on a flat surface and fill each with about 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture.

6. Fold the wrappers in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal.

7. Add the gyoza to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

8. Meanwhile, heat a small amount of oil in a separate pan and sauté the corn until lightly browned.
