French Cheese Gratin
A creamy, cheesy French dish with a crispy top, perfect for a comforting evening meal.
Ingredients
- ●250g French cheese (Gruyère and Comté)grated
- ●60g oily (Butter)unsalted
- ●100g gratin (Breadcrumbs)fresh
- ●1 tsp spicy (Paprika)optional
- ●2 large French potatoes

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly.

In a saucepan, combine the grated cheese, butter, and paprika (if using).

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted and smooth.

In a greased 20cm (8 inch) baking dish, create a layer of potatoes.

Pour some of the cheese mixture over the potatoes.

Repeat the potato and cheese layers, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.

Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
