Ukrainian Pasta Bake
A hearty and comforting Ukrainian-inspired pasta bake with rich flavors.
Ingredients
- β8 oz pastasuch as pappardelle or fettuccine
- β2 tbsp oilfor cooking the pasta
- β1 cup ukrainiansuch as Ukrainian-style cheese or sour cream
- β1 cup bakesuch as shredded mozzarella or cheddar
- β1 medium oniondiced
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp dried basildried
- β1 tsp saltto taste
- β1/2 tsp black pepperto taste

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook until translucent.

Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in the Ukrainian and cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, Ukrainian mixture, and bake. Mix well to combine.

Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish and top with additional bake if desired.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
