Grilled Sashimi Tacos with Vietnamese Fruit Slaw
A fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavors, this dish features fresh sashimi-grade fish, marinated in a sweet and spicy Vietnamese-inspired mixture, served in tacos with a refreshing fruit slaw.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Sashimi-grade fish (such as tuna or salmon)Fresh and of the highest quality
- β2 tbsp Vietnamese fish sauceSweet and savory
- β2 tbsp Fresh lime juiceCitrusy and tangy

- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantroFresh and herbaceous
- β2 tbsp Rice vinegarMild and slightly sweet
- β1 cup Shredded carrotCrunchy and sweet
- β1 cup Shredded red cabbageCrunchy and slightly bitter

In a small bowl, whisk together fish sauce, lime juice, ginger, and honey to make the marinade.

Place the sashimi-grade fish in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Remove the fish from the marinade and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Meanwhile, combine cilantro, rice vinegar, carrot, and red cabbage in a bowl and toss to combine.

Cut the cooked fish into small pieces and serve in tacos with the slaw and any desired additional toppings.
