Fish Wrap Biryani
A flavorful and spicy Indian-inspired dish made with fish, rice, and spices. A perfect combination of flavors and textures.
Ingredients
- ●200g FishAny firm white fish works well
- ●1 cup RiceBasmati or jasmine rice works best
- ●4-6 Portuguese wrapLarge, thin tortilla-like wraps
- ●1/4 cup Fresh cilantroChopped for garnish
- ●2 tbsp Lemon juiceFreshly squeezed
- ●1 tsp Garam masalaGround spice blend
- ●1 tsp CuminGround
- ●to taste SaltAdjust to taste
- ●1/2 tsp Red chili powderAdjust to taste

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Add 1 tsp of oil and sauté the fish until cooked through.

In a separate pan, heat 1 tsp of oil and sauté the cumin and garam masala.

Add the rice to the pan and stir to combine with the spices.

Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.

Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and set aside.

Warm the tortilla wraps by wrapping them in a damp cloth and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

Assemble the biryani by placing a portion of the cooked rice on a tortilla, followed by a portion of the cooked fish, and garnishing with cilantro and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Repeat the layers 3-4 times, finishing with a layer of rice on top.

Wrap the biryani tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
