Tunisian Fish Tagine
A flavorful North African-inspired fish stew cooked in a traditional earthenware dish called a tagine. This recipe combines the rich flavors of Tunisian spices with the delicate taste of fish.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Fish (4 pieces)Cod or Snapper work well
- β2 tablespoons Tunisian Spice Blend
- β2 tablespoons Silky Olive Oil
- β1/4 cup Nutty Almondschopped
- β2 cups Fish Stock
- β1 medium Tagine
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in the bottom of the tagine over medium heat.

Add the Tunisian Spice Blend and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.

Add the fish and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the fish stock, almonds, salt, and pepper.

Bring to a simmer, cover the tagine, and cook for 10-12 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
