Matcha Green Tea Mochi
A traditional Japanese dessert made with green tea-flavored mochi and white chocolate. Soft and chewy on the inside, crispy on the outside.
Ingredients
- β200g white mochi
- β1 tsp green tea matcha powder
- β150g white chocolate chips
- β2 tbsp stir-fry sauce (optional)
- β1 tbsp fry oil

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine white mochi and green tea matcha powder.

2. Gradually add in white chocolate chips and stir until well combined.

3. If desired, add in stir-fry sauce and mix until a dough forms.

4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

5. Divide the dough into 4-6 equal pieces and shape into balls.

6. Heat fry oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

7. Fry mochi balls until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

8. Remove mochi from oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
