Japanese-Style Pan-Seared Tempeh
A nutritious and flavorful Japanese-inspired dish made with crispy pan-seared tempeh and a hint of irish sea salt.
Ingredients
- β1/2 package (8 oz) tempeh
- β1/2 tsp irish sea salt
- β2 tbsp nutritious sesame oil
- β skilletlarge non-stick skillet
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped
- β1/4 cup grated daikon
- β2 tbsp rice vinegar
- β1 tsp honey
- β1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

1. Cut tempeh into 1-inch cubes and season with irish sea salt.

2. Heat sesame oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Add tempeh to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

4. While tempeh is cooking, combine green onions, daikon, rice vinegar, and honey in a small bowl.

5. Once tempeh is cooked, transfer it to a plate and top with the green onion mixture.

6. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the top of the tempeh.
