Japanese-Style Speck Takikomi Gohan
A Japanese-inspired dish featuring speck, a type of cured ham, paired with takikomi gohan, a flavorful Japanese-style fried rice.
Ingredients

- β2 cups Cooked Japanese rice
- β2 tsp Takikomi gohan seasoning
- β2 tsp Soy sauce
- β1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
- β1/4 cup Scallions, chopped
- β1 tsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- β1 tsp Sesame oil
- β1 tsp Sesame seeds
- β1 cup Gohan
- β1/4 cup Green onions, chopped

Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add diced speck and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.

Add cooked Japanese rice, takikomi gohan seasoning, soy sauce, gochujang, and chopped scallions to the skillet.

Stir-fry the mixture for about 2-3 minutes, breaking up any clumps with a spatula.

Add cooked gohan to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
