Traditional Ukrainian Dumplings Recipe
A hearty and comforting Ukrainian dish filled with nourishing goodness. These pillowy dumplings are sure to become a family favorite!
Ingredients
- β2 cups Pillowy dumpling doughsee notes for recipe
- β1 cup Ukrainian filling (see notes for recipe)
- β2 tablespoons Hummusfor serving
- β1/4 cup Fresh parsleychopped, for garnish
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

In a large mixing bowl, combine dumpling dough ingredients and knead until smooth.

Divide dough into 8 equal pieces and roll out each piece into a thin circle.

Place 1-2 tablespoons of Ukrainian filling in the center of each dough circle.

Fold dough over filling and press edges together to seal.

In a large pot of boiling, salted water, cook dumplings for 10-12 minutes or until they float to the surface.

Serve with hummus and garnish with chopped parsley.

Note: To make Ukrainian filling, combine 1 cup cooked and mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup cooked and mashed carrots, and 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill in a bowl. Mix well to combine.
