Russian Beef Dumplings
A Russian-inspired dish featuring crispy beef dumplings served with a side of nourishing vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Beef80% lean, 20% fat
- β1 package (20-24 wrappers) Dumpling Wrappersavailable at most supermarkets or Asian markets
- β1 medium Oniondiced
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 Eggbeaten
- β2 tablespoons Soy Sauceor to taste
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

Add the beaten egg to the bowl and mix until the mixture is just combined.

Lay a dumpling wrapper on a flat surface. Place a tablespoon of the beef mixture in the center of the wrapper.

Dip your finger in a small amount of water and run it along the edges of the wrapper.

Fold the wrapper in half over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal the dumpling.

Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Place the dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops of the dumplings with a little bit of water and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

Bake the dumplings in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
