Crispy Japanese Tagine
A crispy, Japanese-inspired twist on traditional tagine. Perfect for a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Japanese rice
- β2 tsp Tagine spice blendadjust to taste
- β1/4 cup Crunchy tempura bits
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- β1 cup Japanese-style crispy noodles
- β2 tbsp Soy sauce
- β1 tsp Sesame oil
- β1/4 cup Green onions
Instructions

Cook Japanese rice according to package instructions.

In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Add Japanese-style crispy noodles and cook until crispy, about 3-4 minutes.

Remove noodles from pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and cook the green onions until crispy, about 2 minutes.

Add the cooked Japanese rice to the pan, stirring to combine with the green onions.

Add the tagine spice blend and stir-fry for 1 minute.

Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil.

Return the crispy noodles to the pan and stir to combine.

Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
