Japanese Beef Gyudon
A classic Japanese beef bowl dish made with thinly sliced beef and onions simmered in a sweet soy sauce broth, served over a bed of steamed rice.

- β1 large OnionsThinly sliced
- β2 tbsp Soy sauceJapanese soy sauce
- β1 tbsp SakeJapanese rice wine
- β1 tsp Sugar
- β100ml Water
- β150g RiceShort-grain Japanese rice

Instructions

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 8 minutes.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Add soy sauce, sake, and sugar. Stir to combine.
