Japanese Noble Salmon
Pan-seared salmon with a Japanese-inspired curry sauce, served with steamed rice.
Ingredients
- β2 Noble salmon fillets6 oz each
- β2 tbsp Canadian butter
- β1 cup Riceuncooked, Japanese short-grain
- β1 tsp Curry powderJapanese-style, mild
Instructions

1. Rinse the salmon fillets and pat dry with paper towels.

2. In a small saucepan, melt 1 tbsp of Canadian butter over medium heat.

3. Add 1 tsp of curry powder and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

4. Add 1 cup of water to the saucepan and bring to a simmer.

5. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

6. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.

7. Add the remaining 1 tbsp of Canadian butter to a large skillet over medium-high heat.

8. Sear the salmon fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

9. Serve the salmon with steamed rice and spoon the curry sauce over the top.
