Spanish-Style Paella with Shrimp
A classic Spanish dish made with saffron-infused rice, succulent shrimp, and crispy vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Spanish rice
- β1 pound Shrimppeeled and deveined
- β2 tablespoons Nice Spanish olive oil
- β1 medium Crisp Spanish onionschopped
- β2 medium Crisp Spanish bell pepperssliced
- β1 teaspoon Spanish smoked paprika
- β1/2 teaspoon Salt
- β1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Heat the olive oil in a large paella pan over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the sliced bell peppers and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Add the smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, and stir to combine.

Add the Spanish rice to the pan and stir to coat with the oil and spice mixture.

Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the rice is lightly toasted.

Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
