Uruguayan Beef Empanadas
A classic Uruguayan dish featuring crispy beef empanadas, perfect as a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β500g Ground Beef
- β2 cups All-purpose Flour
- β1/4 cup Cold Water
- β1 Egg
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- β1 tsp Uruguayan Spices (parrillada seasoning)
- β4-6 pieces Crispy Empanada Dough (homemade or store-bought)

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and Uruguayan spices. Mix well.

Divide empanada dough into 4-6 pieces, depending on size.

Roll out each piece into a thin circle, about 1/8 inch thick.

Place a tablespoon of beef mixture in the center of each circle.

Brush the edges with egg and fold the dough in half to form a triangle.

Press the edges together to seal the empanada.

Repeat with the remaining dough and beef mixture.

Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
