Italian Mulukhiyah Tacos
A unique fusion of Italian and Middle Eastern cuisines, bringing together mulukhiyah and tacos in a delicious and unexpected way.
Ingredients
- β2 cups, chopped Mulukhiyah
- β8-10 shells Tacos shells
- β1 lb Ground beef or vegetarian alternative
- β1 medium, chopped Onion
- β3 cloves, minced Garlic
- β1 cup Tomato sauce
- β1 cup, shredded Mozzarella cheese
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- βto taste Salt and pepper
- βchopped, for garnish Fresh parsley

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Cook the ground beef or vegetarian alternative in a pan until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the tomato sauce to the pan and stir to combine. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for a few minutes until heated through.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped mulukhiyah and cook until it is tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the cooked mulukhiyah to the pan with the meat sauce and stir to combine.

Spoon the mulukhiyah and meat sauce mixture into the tacos shells.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the mulukhiyah and meat sauce mixture.

Place the tacos under the broiler and cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
