Indian Peas Biryani
A flavorful and aromatic rice-based dish from India, made with juicy peas and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- ●1 cup Basmati rice
- ●1 cup Fresh peas
- ●1 medium Onion
- ●1 inch Ginger
- ●1 tsp Cumin seeds
- ●1 tsp Coriander powder
- ●1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- ●to taste Salt
- ●2 tbsp Ghee or oil
Instructions

Heat 1 tbsp of ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Add onion and ginger and sauté until the onion is translucent.

Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add fresh peas and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add basmati rice to the pan and mix well with the spice mixture.

Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and cover the pan with a lid.

Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.

Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
