Pan-Seared Pancetta with French Toast
A rich breakfast dish combining crispy pancetta with sweet French toast.
Ingredients
- β6 slices Pancetta
- β4 slices Breadpreferably a day-old bread
- β2 Eggs
- β1 cup Milkwhole milk or a non-dairy alternative
- β1 tsp Cinnamon
- β2 tbsp Maple syrup
- β2 tbsp Butter

1. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

3. Add 1 tbsp of butter to the skillet and let it melt.

4. Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.

5. Place the coated bread slices in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.

6. Flip the French toast and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

7. Repeat the cooking process for the remaining bread slices.

8. In a separate skillet, cook the pancetta over medium heat until crispy.

9. Remove the pancetta from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
