Italian Suppli Rice Balls
A classic Italian snack made with risotto, mozzarella, and tomato sauce, coated in breadcrumbs and deep-fried to crispy perfection.
Ingredients

- β8 oz Mozzarella cheese
- β1 cup Tomato sauce
- β1 cup Breadcrumbs
- β1 Egg
- β1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Cook the Italian rice according to package instructions.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce.

Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Add the egg to the mixture and stir until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and pliable.

Divide the dough into small portions, about the size of a golf ball.

Shape each portion into a ball and then flatten it slightly into a disk shape.

Dip each disk into the breadcrumbs, pressing the crumbs gently onto the surface to help them stick.

Heat about 2-3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.

When the oil is hot, add a few of the breaded rice balls to the pan and fry until they are golden brown and crispy.

Remove the suppli from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
