Tempura Bites
Crispy Japanese tempura bites made with mixed seafood and vegetables. Serve with a side of spicy sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Mixed seafood mix (shrimp, fish, calamari)Frozen or fresh
- β1 cup Mixed vegetables (carrots, zucchini, bell peppers)Cut into bite-sized pieces
- β1/2 cup All-purpose flourFor coating
- β1/4 cup CornstarchFor coating
- β1 cup Fry mixedFor frying
- β2 tsp Spice mixFor seasoning

1. In a bowl, mix together flour and cornstarch.

2. In a separate bowl, mix together mixed seafood and vegetables.

3. Coat the seafood and vegetables with the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

4. Heat the fry mixed in a deep frying pan or a deep fryer to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

5. Fry the coated seafood and vegetables in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

6. Remove the fried tempura from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

7. Serve the tempura bites hot with a side of spicy sauce.

8. To make the spicy sauce, mix together 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup rice vinegar, and 1 tsp sriracha in a bowl.
