Japanese-Style Okonomiyaki
A savory pancake from Japan, filled with gooey cheese and mixed vegetables. Perfect as a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β250g Batter MixStore-bought or homemade okonomiyaki batter mix
- β1 cup CabbageShredded
- β1 cup Mixed VegetablesShredded
- β50g Gooey CheeseShredded or sliced
- β2 tbsp Okonomiyaki SauceSoy-based sauce for okonomiyaki

In a large bowl, combine the batter mix and 1/2 cup of water. Mix until smooth.

Add the shredded cabbage and mixed vegetables to the bowl and mix well.

Heat a non-stick pan or okonomiyaki pan over medium heat.

Add a small amount of oil to the pan and pour in the batter mix mixture.

Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.

Add the shredded cheese on top of the batter mix.

Cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bottom is golden brown.

Use a spatula to flip the okonomiyaki over and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the other side is golden brown.

Serve the okonomiyaki hot with okonomiyaki sauce.
