Japanese Chicken Skewers with Miso Glaze
Sweet and savory Japanese-inspired skewers with a sticky miso glaze. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a summer barbecue.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch pieces chicken breast
- β2 tablespoons miso paste
- β2 tablespoons soy sauce
- β2 tablespoons brown sugar
- β1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- β1 tablespoon sake (or dry white wine)
- β1/4 cup, sliced green onions
- β2 tablespoons sesame oil
- β1/4 cup glazed sesame seedsoptional

In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sake until smooth.

Add the sliced green onions to the bowl and mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together sesame oil and sesame seeds (if using).

Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Brush the miso glaze onto both sides of the chicken.
