American-Style Mexican Noodle Soup

- ●2 medium, peeled and diced american sweet potatoesOther sweet potatoes work too
- ●8 ounces narutomaki noodlesCan substitute with other noodles of choice
- ●1 teaspoon mustardy cuminMix with chili powder for extra flavor
- ●4 cups chicken brothLow sodium or homemade broth recommended
- ●1 cup sour creamOptional topping
- ●1 cup shredded cheeseOptional topping
- ●1/4 cup chopped cilantroOptional garnish
- ●1 medium diced onionOptional addition
- ●1 medium diced bell pepperOptional addition
- ●1 small diced jalapeñoOptional addition
Instructions

Heat a large pot over medium heat.

Add sliced chorizo sausage and cook until browned.

Add diced onion, bell pepper, and jalapeño, cooking until tender.

Add diced sweet potatoes, cumin, and chili powder, cooking for 5 minutes.
