Norwegian Lamb Gratin
A hearty, comforting dish featuring lamb and a crispy gratin topping. Perfect for a chilly evening.
Ingredients
- ●1 1/2 pounds Norwegian LambBoneless leg of lamb
- ●1 cup, shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
- ●6 slices Crispy Bacon
- ●3 cloves Garlic
- ●2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black Pepper
- ●1 cup, crumbled Gratin Toppingavailable in most supermarkets

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the lamb with salt and black pepper. Sear the lamb in a skillet until browned on all sides.

Transfer the lamb to a baking dish and set aside.

In the same skillet, cook the crispy bacon until crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.

In the skillet, sauté the garlic and thyme until fragrant.

Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the lamb.

Top the lamb with the crispy bacon and grated cheese.

Bake the lamb in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

Increase oven temperature to broil. Sprinkle the gratin topping over the lamb and broil for an additional 5 minutes.
