Midnight Dutch Trifle
A layered dessert recipe perfect for Christmas nights. This trifle combines the best of Dutch and British traditions.
Ingredients
- β12-16 pieces Ladyfingers
- β1 cup Vanilla pudding
- β1 cup Heavy cream
- β1 cup Custard
- β1 cup Fresh berries
- β2 tablespoons Cocoa powder

Soak the ladyfingers in coffee or tea for 5-7 minutes.

In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks.

Fold the whipped cream into the vanilla pudding until well combined.

Add the cocoa powder to the pudding mixture and mix until smooth.

Cut the soaked ladyfingers into quarters and layer them in a large serving dish.

Pour half of the pudding mixture over the ladyfingers.

Top with half of the fresh berries.

Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of pudding on top.
