Goat Cheese Tagine with Figs
A traditional Middle Eastern dish made with tender goat cheese, sweet figs, and aromatic spices. This tagine is perfect for a warm evening with friends and family.
Ingredients
- β8 oz Middle Eastern goat cheesecrumbly
- β4 Fresh figsdried or fresh
- β2 tbsp Olive oiluse a high-quality oil
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 tsp Cuminground
- β1/2 tsp Cinnamonground
- β1/2 tsp Saltto taste
- β1/4 cup Pistachioschopped

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large tagine or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the crumbled goat cheese, cumin, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.

Add the chopped figs and stir to combine.

Transfer the tagine to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
