Patatas Bravas Tempura
Crispy Japanese-inspired tempura battered Spanish potatoes in a spicy bravas sauce. A unique twist on a classic tapas dish.
Ingredients
- β1 large patatas
- β1/2 cup mellowall-purpose flour
- β1/2 cup spanishcornstarch
- β2 tablespoons bravasspicy bravas sauce
- β1 cup water
Instructions

Cut the patatas into 1-inch cubes and rinse under cold water.

In a large bowl, mix together mellow and spanish. Gradually add water, stirring until smooth.

Add patatas to the batter and toss until coated.

Heat about 2-3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until 350Β°F.

Carefully add the battered patatas to the oil in batches and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the tempura from the oil and drain on paper towels.

Serve the tempura patatas hot with a side of bravas sauce for dipping.
