Scottish Haggis Dumplings
A hearty Scottish dish featuring haggis and savory dumplings. Perfect for a cold winter's night.
Ingredients
- β450g haggisbuy from a butcher or make your own
- β200g all-purpose flour
- β100g butter
- β100ml milk
- β1 tsp salt
- β1 tsp black pepper
- β2 tsp savorydried or fresh, chopped

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper.

Add butter and use a pastry blender or your fingers to work it into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Gradually add milk, stirring with a fork until the dough comes together.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, until smooth.

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.

On a floured surface, flatten each ball of dough into a disk, about 5cm in diameter.

Place a tablespoon of haggis in the center of each disk.

Fold the dough over the haggis to form a half-moon shape, pressing the edges together to seal.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the dumplings for 10-12 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
