Braised Lamb Stew
A hearty stew made with tender lamb and rich flavors.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Lamb shoulder
- β1 large Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β2 large Mellow peppers
- β1 can (14.5 oz) Braised tomatoes
- β2 cups Stew meat broth
- β1 teaspoon Turkish paprika
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Season lamb shoulder with salt and black pepper.

Sear lamb shoulder until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove lamb from pot and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to pot; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add mellow peppers and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add braised tomatoes, stew meat broth, and Turkish paprika to pot.

Return lamb to pot and bring to a boil.

Cover pot and transfer to preheated oven.

Braise lamb in the oven at 300Β°F (150Β°C) for 2.5 hours, or until tender.
