Braised Mushroom Stir Fry
A hearty and flavorful Chinese-inspired stir-fry made with tender braised mushrooms.
Ingredients
- β1 lb canadian mushroomscut into bite-sized pieces
- β2 tbsp mellow oilfor stir-frying
- β1/4 cup braised saucestore-bought or homemade
- β1/2 lb stew beefsliced into thin strips
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1-inch piece gingersliced
- β2 tbsp soy saucefor flavor
- β1 tbsp rice vinegarfor balance
- β1 tsp sugarfor sweetness
Instructions

Heat 1 tablespoon of mellow oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced stew beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the wok and set aside.

In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of mellow oil.

Add the minced garlic and sliced ginger and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add the bite-sized mushroom pieces and cook until they start to soften, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the braised sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar. Stir to combine.

Return the cooked beef to the wok and stir to combine with the sauce.

Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the beef is well coated.

Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
