Tunisian Luscious Chicken Tagine
A hearty and flavorful North African-inspired stew made with chicken, vegetables, and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound chicken breastboneless and skinless
- ●2 tablespoons lusciousor olive oil
- ●1 medium onionchopped
- ●3 cloves garlicminced
- ●1 teaspoon tunisianground cumin
- ●1/4 cup nattofermented soybeans
- ●1/4 cup taginecoconut milk
- ●2 tablespoons tomato paste
- ●2 cups chicken broth
- ●1/4 cup olivechopped fresh parsley

Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

Heat the luscious in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the chicken until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Reduce heat to medium and sauté the onion and garlic until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the tunisian, natto, and tomato paste. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

Return the chicken to the pot and transfer to the oven.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Stir in the tagine and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
