Smoked Pork Jjigae German Style
A fusion dish of smoky flavors in a hearty Korean-inspired jjigae (stew) with traditional German ingredients.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, sliced into 1-inch pieces Smoked Pork Belly
- β1 cup Anju German Beerused for braising the pork
- β1 large, thinly sliced Onioncaramelized for added flavor
- β3 cloves, minced Garlicadds depth to the stew
- β1 teaspoon Korean Chili Flakes (gochugaru)adds a spicy kick
- β1/4 cup, chopped Luscious Fresh Cilantrogarnish for serving
- β1/4 cup, chopped Luscious Fresh Scallionsgarnish for serving
- β2 tablespoons Korean Jjigae Pasteadds authentic Korean flavor

1. Heat Anju German Beer in a large Dutch oven over medium heat until simmering.

2. Add sliced onion and cook for 10 minutes or until caramelized.

3. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

4. Add sliced smoked pork belly and cook until browned on all sides.

5. Stir in Korean Chili Flakes and cook for 1 minute.

7. Bring mixture to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the pork is tender.
