Venezuelan Shrimp Skewers
A delicious and easy-to-make dish from Venezuela, featuring succulent shrimp marinated in a mixture of spices and grilled to perfection on skewers.
Ingredients
- β1 pound shrimppeeled and deveined
- β2 tablespoons olive oilfor brushing skewers
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon cuminground
- β1 teaspoon corianderground
- β1/2 teaspoon smoked paprikaoptional
- β1/4 teaspoon saltto taste
- β1/4 teaspoon black pepperto taste
- β1 cup lovelychopped fresh cilantro (or parsley)

In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Add the shrimp to the marinade and mix well to coat.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp.

Brush the skewers with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
