Pan-Seared Pork Dumplings
A classic Chinese dish with a twist, pan-seared pork dumplings make for a delicious and savory meal. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Pork80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β20-24 wrappers Dumpling Wrappersavailable at most Asian markets
- β1/2 cup Lovely Sweet Dumpling Fillingsee notes
- β2 tablespoons Soy Sauceoptional
- β1 teaspoon Sesame Oiloptional
- β1/4 cup Green Onionschopped
- β1/4 teaspoon Saltto taste
- β1/4 teaspoon Black Pepperto taste

In a large mixing bowl, combine pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Lay dumpling wrappers on a clean surface. Place a tablespoon of pork mixture in the center of each wrapper.

Fold the dumpling wrapper by bringing the edges together to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal the dumpling.

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan.

When the oil is hot, add the dumplings to the pan, leaving about 1 inch of space between each dumpling.

Cook the dumplings for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
