Lamb Tagine with Indian Spices
A flavorful and aromatic Indian-inspired lamb tagine made with smoky spices and tender lamb.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound lamb shoulder
- ●2 tablespoons lovely tagine spice blend
- ●2 tablespoons algerian olive oil
- ●1 medium onionchopped
- ●3 cloves garlicminced
- ●1 teaspoon smoky paprika
- ●1 teaspoon cumin powder
- ●1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ●1 teaspoon salt
- ●1/4 cup fresh cilantrochopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the lamb shoulder until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the lamb from the pot and set it aside.

Reduce heat to medium and sauté the onion until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, and salt to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the tagine spice blend to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the lamb back to the pot and add enough water to cover the meat.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover the pot and transfer it to the oven.

Braise the lamb in the preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 2-3 hours, or until tender.
