Traditional German Cheese Lasagna
A hearty German-inspired take on the classic Italian dish, featuring layers of tender lasagna noodles, creamy cheese, and a hint of polish flair.
Ingredients
- ●8-10 sheets lasagna
- ●1 cup grated lovely cheesemix of cheddar and parmesan
- ●1/2 cup chopped fresh resinous polishsuch as parsley or dill
- ●1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ●1 cup cooked sauerkraut polish
- ●1/4 cup chopped fresh lovelysuch as chives or scallions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, sauté the polish in a little bit of oil until softened.

In a separate skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and add the lovely cheese, stirring until smooth.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked lasagna noodles, sautéed polish, and melted lovely cheese mixture.

In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, create a layer of lasagna noodles.

Spread half of the polish-cheese mixture over the noodles.

Repeat the layering process, ending with a layer of noodles on top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and top with the shredded cheese.
