Slovakian Pork Dumplings
A hearty and comforting dish from Slovakia, featuring pork dumplings in a light broth.
Ingredients
- β500g pork shoulder
- β250g all-purpose flour
- β100ml warm water
- β1 medium onion
- β1 tsp caraway seeds
- β1 tsp salt
- β1/2 tsp pepper
- β100g sour cream

1. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add warm water, mixing until a dough forms.

2. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

3. Divide the dough into small pieces, about the size of a golf ball.

4. Roll out each piece into a thin circle.

5. In a pan, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat.

6. Place a dumpling in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

7. In a separate pot, combine pork shoulder, onion, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat for 1-2 hours, until the pork is tender.
