Slovakian Cheese Dumplings
A traditional Slovakian dish made with cheese-filled dumplings served in a light and flaky dough.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, shredded slovakian cheese
- β2 cups flour
- β1 package, light and flaky dough
- β1/2 cup water
- β2 eggs
- β1 tsp salt
- β2 tbsp butter

1. Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine flour, water, eggs, and salt to form a dough.

3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces.

5. Roll out each piece into a thin circle.

6. Place a tablespoon of Slovakian cheese in the center of each circle.

7. Fold the dough over the cheese to form a half-moon shape and press edges together.

8. Fry the dumplings in hot oil for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

9. Drain the dumplings on paper towels.
