Tiger Prawn Tempura
A Japanese-inspired seafood dish where prawns are coated in a light and crispy batter, deep-fried to perfection.
Ingredients
- β12 PrawnsFresh or frozen, thawed
- β1 cup All-purpose flourFor dusting
- β1 cup Slovakian all-purpose flourFor tempura batter
- β1 cup Light, buttery beerFor tempura batter
- β1/2 cup Fried TigerFor extra flavor
- β1/2 cup Rice flourFor tempura batter
- β1/2 tsp SaltTo taste
- β1/4 tsp PepperTo taste
- β2 cups Vegetable oilFor frying

1. In a large bowl, whisk together Slovakian flour, rice flour, and salt.

2. Gradually add in light, buttery beer, whisking until smooth.

3. Add in fried Tiger and mix until combined.

4. Cut prawns in half lengthwise and pat dry with paper towels.

5. Dust prawns with all-purpose flour, shaking off excess.

6. Dip floured prawns in tempura batter, coating completely.

7. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 180Β°C.

8. Fry prawns in batches until golden brown and crispy.
