Tart Indian Nut Puffs
Crispy puffs filled with a delightful blend of nuts and spices, perfect for a snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1/4 cup Ghee or oil
- β1 cup Chopped almonds
- β1/2 cup Chopped walnuts
- β1 tsp Cardamom powder
- β1/4 tsp Salt
- β2 tbsp Powdered sugar
- β2 tbsp Light cream

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and cardamom powder.

Add the ghee or oil and mix until the dough comes together.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes and set aside.

In a pan, heat 2 tbsp of ghee or oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped nuts and cook until golden brown, stirring frequently.

Add the powdered sugar and light cream, and mix until the nuts are well coated.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

Cut out small squares, about 2 inches per side.

Place a spoonful of the nut mixture in the center of each square.

Fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle or square shape, and press the edges together.

Brush the tops with a little water and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
