Crisp Syrian Chicken Fajitas
A flavorful and spicy mexican dish featuring crispy syrian chicken, sautéed with lemons and onions.
Ingredients
- ●4 breasts 1 lb boneless, skinless syrian chicken breastscut into thin strips
- ●2 lemons 1/4 cup lemonsjuiced
- ●1 1 large onionthinly sliced
- ●1 tsp 2 tsp olive oilfor cooking
- ●1 tsp 1 tsp ground cumin
- ●1 tsp 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ●1/4 tsp 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- ●to taste Salt and pepper
- ●8 8 small flour tortillasfor serving

1. Heat 1 tsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and crispy, about 5-6 minutes.

3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

4. Add the sliced onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

5. Add the cumin, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.

6. Stir in the lemon juice and cook for an additional 1 minute.

7. Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and stir to combine.

8. Warm the flour tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

9. Assemble the fajitas by placing a portion of the chicken mixture onto a tortilla and serving immediately.
