Kenyan Beef Skewers
A flavorful and spicy Kenyan-inspired dish featuring marinated beef skewers grilled to perfection. Serve with a side of chapati or rice for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- β500g Beef sirloin
- β2 Green bell pepper
- β1 Red onion
- β2 Tomato
- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantro
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1/4 cup Lime juice
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1 tsp Black pepper
- β1 tsp Kichumbe (or chili flakes)

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and kichumbe.

Add the beef sirloin to the marinade and mix well to coat.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Thread the marinated beef, bell pepper, onion, and tomato onto skewers.

Brush the grill with oil to prevent sticking.

Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes per side, or until the beef reaches an internal temperature of 63Β°C (145Β°F) for medium-rare.
