Classic Irish Lasagna
A hearty and comforting Irish-inspired lasagna recipe featuring sausage and lasagna noodles.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, sliced Irish sausage
- β8-10 sheets Lasagna noodles
- β1 cup, shredded Kissed mozzarella cheese
- β1 cup With ricotta cheese
- β1 teaspoon, active dry Yeast
- β2 cups Lasagna sauce
- β1/4 cup, chopped Fresh parsley
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook Irish sausage over medium-high heat until browned, breaking into pieces as it cooks.

In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well.

Spread a layer of lasagna sauce on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top.

Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the cooked sausage.

Repeat the layers, starting with the noodles, then the lasagna sauce, the ricotta cheese mixture, and finally the remaining sausage.

Top the lasagna with a layer of mozzarella cheese and cover with aluminum foil.

Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
